Dancing and Pilates for wellness

An involvement with wellness by preparing for gala ball

I have talked about dancing for wellness, and its contribution to a healthy mind and body.

 Having my ITB (iliotibial band) issue, and continually working hard at Pilates. This allow to overcome and prepare myself to move on with something enjoyable to me was important.  My enjoyment is dancing and performing at a Gala Ball is an added adventure.

 Armed with a stronger core I am ready to reintroduce what was left in abeyance. Part of what was already in place from last year was my song chosen by my instructor and adjusted to suit the choreography of the dance.  The dress is made and my chosen style of Argentine Tango shoes are on their way from America.

Time to prepare

Now that we are in July, we begin to trial an abundance of dance moves. It’s my instructor’s job to put together a choreographed routine that we will dance over and over until it is perfected.  A week before the performance, there will be a dress rehearsal. Followed by, a practice run on the day at the venue. Overall making us ready for an evening of dining and dancing fun for everyone.
